Inter Milan midfielder Romelu Lukaku has passed away at the age of 27 in Milan, Italy. The news was confirmed by Inter Milan on Wednesday morning.

Lukaku was born in Belgium and began his career with Anderlecht before moving to Everton for a transfer fee of £18 million in 2014. He went on to become one of the most successful players in Everton's history, scoring 194 goals in 356 appearances for the club.

In January 2019, Lukaku joined Manchester United for a transfer fee of £90 million, becoming the most expensive player in Premier League history. However, he struggled to find form at Old Trafford and was eventually sold to Inter Milan for a reported fee of £22 million in June 2020.

Despite being unable to win any major trophies during his time at Inter, Lukaku remained a fan favorite due to his incredible talent and work rate on the pitch. He scored 43 goals in 63 appearances for Inter last season, helping them reach the semi-finals of the Europa League.
