Paris Saint-Germain have announced the return of Presnel Kimpembe after suffering a new ankle injury during their Champions League match against Inter Milan.

Kimpembe, who has been sidelined since his first goal in the Champions League last season, returned to training on Wednesday and was set to make his debut for the French club this weekend against Manchester United.

The 25-year-old forward had been ruled out of action due to the injury but is now expected to be fit for the match.

"I am very happy to see him back in training," PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino said. "He's a very talented player and he deserves every chance."

Despite missing out on the Champions League final, PSG still have a chance of securing a place in the Europa League next season with Kimpembe as part of their squad. The defender will join the team at the end of the season and will look to continue his promising career at the highest level of football.

Meanwhile, the Parisian fans were also pleased to hear that they would not have to wait too long before seeing Kimpembe back in action. He has already made a positive impact on the side, scoring twice in two matches so far this campaign.

"It's always a pleasure to see our young talent back in the starting lineup," PSG coach Thierry Henry said. "We're looking forward to seeing him play again."

With Kimpembe returning to action, PSG may be able to add another attacking threat to their squad, which could help them to continue their impressive start to the season.
